We have arranged a talk by Dan Fox from the RYA Race Team on Thursday 16th January.  This will take place at the clubhouse starting at 19:30.  Designed around our club facilities and procedures, it is aimed to give us the skills and confidence to run good club racing. Dan is happy to take questions on all aspects of dinghy racing - he grew up sailing on a gravel pit so well used to the challenges/delights of confined inland venues and he can include a brief section on what’s new in the 2025-28 rules.

This is a must for all RO's, ARO's, FSB's and regular or occasional racers and anyone who sails.  

Please come and support this FREE event.  Tea, coffee available and the bar will be open as well.

The Winter Open Series started on Sunday 1st December 2024 with Pursuit start at 10:00 and Handicap start at 11:45.  If your club closes for the winter and you would like to continue to race, please contact the Membership Secretary for more details on joining our Winter Open Racing.

Wednesday Morning Informal Series continues with the start at 11:00 often followed by a member prepared lunch. 

Don't forget that we have races on Boxing Day and New Years Day with 11:00 starts.

RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2 and RYA Safety Boat courses are run at/by Maidenhead SC, an RYA Training Centre.

RYA Powerboat L2 is recommended for BSC members using the the 6HP safety boats and RYA Safety Boat for FSB drivers. 

Junior Sailing 2025 starts on Saturday 3rd May at 1:30pm.  If you have children or grandchildren interested in sailing, aged 5 years or older, with a basic level of water confidence wearing a buoyancy aid, please come along to the club or contact Tim Davies, Vice Commodore and Junior Sailing Coordinator for more details.
