Solo Open - Sunday 11th March
Spring Handicap Open - Sunday 1st April (open to all classes, subject to BSC rules)
RS Aero Open - 21st April

2018-2019 winter open series at Broadwater Sailing Club.

Our Winter Open Handicap Series will take place between Sunday 2nd December 2018 and Sunday 4th March 2019 inclusive.

Several local clubs effectively close during the winter months and so we would very much like to welcome visitors from these or indeed any club to participate in our Winter series which is open to any class of dinghy up to about 16ft LOA.

Subject to weather conditions, we will be holding two races each Sunday: a pursuit race starting at about 10:00am and a handicap race starting at about 11:45.

Dinghies will compete against each other using the Portsmouth Handicap system.

Note: Class Handicaps
The RYA has updated the Portsmouth Yardstick figures (PYs) based on national averages and has introduced a scheme to provide more club specific local PYs.
Broadwater Sailing Club's Sailing Committee has adopted a variation of the national PYs until further notice.

Revised start times are contained here.

Visitors will be able to leave their boats in our dinghy park for the duration of the series.

The entry fee will again be £40 including boat parking plus a returnable deposit of £10 for our gate key.

Contact Greg Hart if you would like to join the series, or for more information.
