Junior Sailing

Junior Sailing on Saturdays
Please be at the Club at 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start. We come off the water at 4.00pm or 4.30pm depending on the weather.
New junior sailors are very welcome, including grandchildren of family members.
After Junior Sailing Fun Week, we will be on summer break on Saturdays 4, 11, 18 & 25 August with no organised junior sailing on these dates.
If junior sailors are signed up for this years program, sailing kit can continue to be used but an adult must be in attendance.
Junior Sailing starts again on Saturday 8th September -
see you then, but we hope to see you all on 1st September for the
Commodore’s Challenge when juniors and adults can join in the fun.

Junior Sailing Boats
We have a great fleet of junior sailing boats including Oppis, Toppers, 4 x RS Fevas, 2 Laser Radials and a small 2 hander called a Teeny with spinnaker and crew trapeze. We can also use the club Wanderer and Laser 2000.

The Start Racing Course
This course is open to all club members, and we would particularly encourage Junior sailors at RYA Stages 3 and 4 to join the course to improve their racing and general sailing. In fact, any junior who can sail a triangular course. The course comprises 3 Saturday sessions.
